Start Small, Stay Focused, and Glow Big: My Journey From the Street to Success
Everyone dreams of a better life. But not everyone knows where to begin. I'm Yiga Moses, and I want to share my story with you — a story of humble beginnings, deep challenges, and burning hope. If you're struggling to believe in yourself or wondering if it's possible to glow up in life, this post is for you.
π₯ My Beginning: A Chapati Stall and Big Dreams
I started with just one thing — a chapati stall on the street. Every day I woke up early, worked with my hands, and earned 20,000 UGX. It wasn't much, but it was honest. It was my foundation. Many people looked down on me, but I looked up — to God, to my goals, to the future I was building in my heart.
π‘ The Vision Was Bigger Than the Struggle
I didn’t want to stop at chapati. I had a dream:
To own an electronics and phone accessories shop
To open a boutique and a food store
To trade forex and earn online
To one day build a house for my family on my own land
But dreams don’t come alive unless you act. So I made a plan.
𧱠Step by Step, Brick by Brick
I started saving little by little — even 5,000/= per day. I learned how to run a cash book, how to create goals, and how to stay consistent. I failed many times. I felt discouraged. But I refused to give up.

π From Local Hustle to Online Growth
I began building online too:
I created @glowupuganda to share health and mindset tips
I started forex training with just my phone
I began writing my book, “Start Small, Think Big”
❤️ The Power of Purpose and Prayer
More than anything, I leaned on God and my purpose. I made peace with my past. I now protect my marriage, focus on my goals, and help others grow.
✅ What You Can Learn from My Journey
1. Your beginning doesn’t define your ending
2. Even 5,000/= can start your future
3. Believe in your dream more than your fear
4. Use what you have, where you are
5. Pray, plan, and push — daily
✍️ Final Words:
